We too have a Costa trying to open, threatening all the independent coffee shops, so let us hope we shall have the same success here!

ReplyDeleteThe Costa on Gloucester Road opened on Tuesday, despite its lack of planning permission and the wrong licences, and a small group have been maintaining a presence outside, talking to passersby about it...
Anyway, I'm mostly here to see if you'd be interested in comming down to a 'mad-hatter's tea party' on Saturday, being held outside the Costa on Gloucester Rd, from 11:00, as a celebration of what Gloucester Road is about, and a protest at the illeagally opened branch of Costa... Come on over if you can make it, with mad hata, cake, tea (or buy them at one of the many independant coffe/tea shops within seconds walk) :)
Now that the Costa on Whiteladies Rd has opened, is there any organised campaign to protest against its lack of planning permission?
